Are you proud to be a blue collar worker? WORKFORIT Apparel shares your pride!
Being a skilled laborer isn’t something to be ashamed of or looked down on. That’s why
Ryan Fusco started his clothing and accessory line, WORKFORIT Apparel and his YouTube channel. As a construction worker and skilled laborer, Ryan is encouraging others to make skilled labor an option for young adults that aren’t interested in college and like working with their hands.
Part of what Ryan does is educating people through his youtube channel just by uploading videos about his life and interests. WORKFORIT Apparel does something similar; by making products for his brand, he has created the space for blue collar workers to take pride. His dedication for his business is what is driving his sales, his service, and quality.
“I am a perfectionist, I like to be involved in the whole process of the brand and its growth. One of the hardest things was letting employees take over order fulfillment. “We put our heart and soul into each order. Finding employees that share that passion is hard. We’ve also struggled to find manufacturers willing to make certain products that we once made in house.” Ryan says that either himself or one of his employees are the last people to inspect an order.
With Ryan’s passion and dedication is it a no-brainer why his brand grew the way that it did. “Whoever said you had to be a millionaire to get an idea of the ground, is wrong. I started WORKFORIT $250 and consistently reinvested back into it,” Ryan explains. He focused on keeping overhead as little as possible for as long as he could so that when it was time to expand, WORKFORIT had the funds to do so.
Ryan and his team’s goal is to not only be one of the top brands in “blue collar” apparel, but any and every faction of life that requires you to work for your results. They’ve been working on a line of gym apparel, and will be moving into trade specific workwear as well soon. They sell apparel ranging from hats, t-shirts, tank tops, crop tops, sweatshirts as well as accessories such as lanyards, key tags. Their number one sellers are their decals. “Those always go really quick once we restock,” he says.
When Ryan started WORKFORIT apparel, it was an attempt to restore pride in blue collar work as well as promote it to the next generation as not only a great career path to get into, but one that allows for unlimited growth potential. His YouTube channel is one of his favorite sources of spreading blue collar work appreciation and insight. “I started a YouTube channel to share my life, career and successes with the world. It’s currently at 342k subscribers. I constantly get messages from people who are either in high school and my videos helped them decide a blue collar career path was for them despite pressure from others, or those who quit their jobs to chase their passion of working with their hands. It’s extremely touching,” Ryan says smiling.
From the beginning of his journey he had about forty-four orders the year WORKFORIT first launched. Now, they are projected to ship out 17,400 orders this year. “We are ranked in the top 2% of online stores that were launched the same time ours was,” he stated.
You don’t have to be a college graduate to be a success. Getting a degree isn’t for everyone, and other options should be celebrated and encouraged. Ryan’s brand and YouTube channel are changing that. Feel proud of your work with WORKFORIT Apparel and accessories.
